    富久長 温州みかん酒

When visiting  Imada Shuzo in the winter season, you´ll pass Mikan street vendors along the road between the harbor and the brewery. This local delicacy, Mikan, is a type of sweet citrus fruit often compared to a European mandarin. This refreshing Mikanshu is produced with the same care and passion as the brewery’s famous Fukucho sake. No sugar or other sweeteners have been added; you taste only the natural sweetness of the fruit. The profile is thereby on the tart side, with complex flavors ranging from citrus to mandarin, accented by a hint of lactic acid. A collection of flavors that creates a complex and unique citrus tasting experience, while also offering a nice contrast to the more popular Yuzushu.

Serving: Mikanshu is an ideal aperitif or digestif. Drink it chilled straight from the refrigerator. During the intense heat of the Japanese summer, it’s often served with ice and sparkling water.

Food Pairing: Drink it as is, or serve it with desserts. Classic crème brûlée or dark chocolate mousse would pair perfectly with the tart Mikanshu.
