Tatenokawa Shuzo, Yamagata

Shuryu (Vogue) Junmai Daiginjo

339,00 kr

主流 米 大 吟 醸 主流

Vogue represents yet another very seductive Junmai Daiginjo from the skilled hands at Tatenokawa in Yamagata or North Western Japan. This sake is about comfort. You sense it quickly, from the label design to the aroma and taste, it all plays together to perfection. The nose is prominent with beautiful sweet aromas of ripe fruit and big yellow flowers. The brewers inspiration for Vogue is most certainly rooted in Kumamoto Junmai Daiginjo from the Southern part of Kyushu, by using the famous Yeast Nr9 from Kumamotoken kyushu sake research institute. This sake is on the sweet side, but with plenty of body and volume for balance thanks to the qualities of Premium Yamada-Nishiki sake rice from Hyogo Prefecture.

Serve it chilled, or slightly closer to room temperature to unlock added layers of flavor. This is a sake that can be enjoyed as it is, but we would also recommend to pair it with food. The fragrant Vogue pairs wonderfully with aromatic food such as smokey, grilled meat or fish, especially Yakitori. Cheeses such as brie or chèvre served with aromatic Shiso leaves would also create a pleasing dynamic with this special Junmai Daiginjo.
