Sohomare Sake Selections

The Kono family has been behind the Sohomare brand for five generations in Tochigi Prefecture. The brewery specializes in brewing Kimoto sake for the discerning sake drinker and for restaurants. They have developed a unique approach to Kimoto brewing that they have nurtured since 2001, way before the recent Kimoto renaissance in the sake world. Their uncompromising research and brewing talent produces some of the most complex and soulful Kimoto sake in Japan. Through expert maturation and blending of different vintages with Yamada Nishiki rice from the Yokawa and Tojo regions of Hyogo Prefecture, they create a truly unique style of Kimoto sake.
