The Honjozo version of our Kimoto lineup calls for kansake (warm sake). The incredibly soft texture in the mouth melts on the tongue. This Sake is felt in the nose before tasting mild fruity notes that end with a dry lightness at the back of the mouth. It is an elegant and balanced Honjozo that invites to a complete Japanese evening enjoyment along with food and ceramics.
Serving: As with our other kimoto sake offerings, the acidity in this sake will make all food taste better. Rustic food or comfort food like grilled meats, baked root vegetables and soups will create a fantastic pair with this sake. The Honjozo style makes this sake very flexible with food, ranging from raw fish to oil-rich dishes, creating a good dynamic.
