Before dinner tasting "Shokuzenshu" ✹ 21.03.26
This tasting is a shortened version of “Introduction to Sake” intended for those of you who are going to a restaurant after the tasting. With an earlier start time and shorter duration, this tasting is ideal as an aperitif for your evening. We do our utmost to create a taste experience that stimulates the palate and awakens the appetite. It is an exciting starting point for a tasting. The aroma of some sake makes you hungry and your stomach rumble. Other sake will ready the palate with elegant purity and just the right amount of sharpness (Kiire). There will also be small food elements to enhance the taste of the sake. Together, this tasting will give you the best possible preparation for the restaurant ahead.

The tasting will be hosted by Jakob Emdal, founder of Manaka and sake sommelier, who has been working professionally with sake in Copenhagen since 2016. Primarily with his own imports from Japan's leading sake breweries, as well as supplying sake to Copenhagen's restaurant scene.
Manaka is based in Jægersborggade in Nørrebro.
Read before booking: Refunds for tickets will not be issued in the event of cancellation or no-show. Tastings are held in small groups of up to eight people. If, for example, three or four guests cancel, the evening's tasting will be canceled. To avoid this scenario, we have chosen this purchase policy.
